It Started With Connection.
What began as a way to help me stay connected with my mother became a vision for helping more people stay connected with one another.
My mother was living in Glasgow, Scotland, while I was thousands of miles away in California. I wanted to make it easier for her to reach the content, community and connection she enjoyed—and for us to remain close despite the distance.
After her stroke, and later after she passed away, I understood even more deeply how important connection becomes when people need one another most.
That experience inspired a larger idea: A Universe of Private Communities™— a place where relationships, interests, conversations and communities could come together inside one connected private social world.
