A PERSONAL BEGINNING
A Personal Beginning. A Shared Purpose.
Ganiverse® began with my mother and her love of Elvis Presley.
She was very technology-minded and used iPhones and iPads, but finding his music videos and movies in one convenient place was difficult. I created a private platform for her, and she was instrumental in shaping it from the beginning.
When my father developed dementia and she could no longer travel, I expanded the platform around more of her interests. That wider selection of content appealed to other seniors as well.
Then she spoke to me about how many seniors were alone. I told her, “I can fix that,” and began building ways for them to connect personally, including private video chatting.
What started with my mother became a platform for seniors, then grew into the wider universe of private communities that Ganiverse® is today.
Both my parents have since passed away. I believe my mother would be proud of what her involvement helped inspire.
Her interests helped shape its beginning. Her concern for others helped shape its purpose.
